VicTrack Carpark Project

Current regional and metropolitan railway station carparks are at full capacity. After research, community engagement and through consultation with Public Transport Victoria, State Government, rail operators and Councils, VicTrack has identified 15 regional and metropolitan railway station carparks that are in the need for upgrades and extensions.  These upgrades and extensions consist of four delivery packages and will increase the access to parking at the stations and will aim to reduce road congestion – by encouraging the use of public transport and will provide more free carparks at more locations.

ACE has been contracted by VicTrack to undertake the design and construction of 5 train station carparks under Delivery Package 2 – Metropolitan (North and North West):

  • Upfield
  • Regent
  • Keilor Plains
  • Williams Landing
  • Watsonia

and an additional 5 train station carparks for Delivery Package 3 – Regional (North and North West):

  • Castlemaine
  • Kyneton
  • Kilmore East
  • Wallan
  • Gisborne

Scope of works for the contract included:

  • Earthworks
  • Drainage
  • Lighting
  • CCTV
  • New asphalt pavements
  • Installation of signage
  • Linemarking
  • Construction of new carpark entrances and exits
  • Footpaths
  • Kerbs and channel
  • Fencing
  • Landscaping
