Point Park is Yarra's Edge's own 1 hectare environmentally sustainable parkland with rain gardens and water storage cells cleverly concealed within the design. Water tanks contribute around 40% of the total park's irrigation needs whilst rain gardens treat storm water, minimizing environmental impact: ACE constructed the entire park starting with the demolition and civil works, right through to the maintenance of the garden beds and lawn areas. Key features of this project included:
- All drainage works including the installation of underground water storage cells
- Preparation and construction of carpark and paved areas
- Installation of irrigation systems
- Construction of rain gardens
- Installation of street furniture
- Preparation and laying of turf
- Planting and maintenance of garden beds
