Hume Drive Duplication

Location: Hume Drive, Taylor’s Hill, VIC

ACE were engaged by Melton City Council to expand the two lane road to four lanes between Calder Park Drive and Copperfield Drive, with a section of the construction within the City of Brimbank.

Existing roundabouts will also be upgraded, traffic signals are to be installed at Hume Drive and Overton Lea Boulevard, civil works, relocation of services and landscaping works undertaken.

Both Ace Electrical Services and Ace Infrastructure were involved in this job.


Bairnsdale Wastewater Treatment Plant Switchboard

Location: Bairnsdale, Melbourne, VIC

Client: East Gippsland Water

Date: 2018

The Motor Control Centre switchboard at the Bairnsdale Wastewater Treatment Plant was manufactured approximately 30 years ago with limited automation and control functionality and is nearing its recommended design life.

ACE produced the design, supply, install, and test and commission of a new Motor Control Centre switchboard and associated civil works at the Bairnsdale Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Civic Centre Standby Generator

Location: Nunawading, Victoria

Client: Whitehorse City Council

Date: October 2016 – February 2017

As part of their backup power supply system upgrade, Whitehorse City Council requires larger standby diesel generator.  Ace has been engaged to supply and install a new 605kVA diesel generator for the civic centre and library located in Nunawading.

Scope of works for the contract included:

  • All civil works, including a new generator slab, underground conduits and pits
  • Supply and installation of the new standby generator
  • New Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
  • Solar power isolation contactors (PLC)
  • Modification of the existing switchboards to accommodate the new generator
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Operation and maintenance manuals

Coolamon Zone Substation

Location: Coolamon, NSW

Client: Essential Energy

Date: 2015

Supply, construct, install & commission the Coolamon Zone Substation.

The substation consisted of the following:

  • 2 x 66kV landing structure,
  • 2 x 66kV disconnector/ earth SW,
  • 2 x 66kV dead break tank circuit breaker,
  • 2 x 66/11kV, 8MVA power transformer,
  • 1 x control room and related control panel installation and termination,
  • Underground 11kV cables to the indoor switchgear
