Ace Landscape Services were engaged by Banyule Council to be part of their ‘Tree Planting Program’ which was an initiative set up in January 2011. This is the first year that council have engaged an external contractor to undertake these works with two contractors completing the required 5000 trees per planting season that runs from May through to the end of September.
The project involves the installation of streetscape trees throughout the Banyule council precincts which covers an impressive 19 suburbs. The areas of planting include residential nature strips, industrial zones, and parkland. The project has a two-year rolling contract to install trees with the option of a further four years and includes maintenance of 104 weeks per tree after installation.
