Meet Ash Murray, one of ACE’s Civil labourer’s working on our Bell to Moreland project.
A member of the Howlong Spiders Football & Netball Club, Ash and his club celebrated Naidoc week this month and wore indigenous designed jumpers during their game. Yorta Yorta and Duduroa man Johnny Murray who is Ash’s cousin, put together the artwork for the inaugural NAIDOC match. “The artwork on our jumpers represents the past present and future Indigenous players of our club. This is represented by the three circles which are joined together. The U shapes represent the players of our club and the single circle design represents us the Howlong Football Club”.
The final score wasn’t in their favour on the day but Ash won best on ground after kicking 5 goals!
Ace are proud sponsors with money raised by the club going towards the Koori Kindermanna Preschool.
