ACE was engaged by Kane Construction to deliver a comprehensive civil works package for the Caulfield Racecourse redevelopment. The project involved large-scale earthworks, bulk excavation, retaining structures, drainage infrastructure, dewatering, contaminated soil management, structural concrete works, and associated civil installations.
Working within a busy metropolitan environment, ACE successfully managed the excavation and removal of more than 61,000m³ of material while maintaining safe pedestrian and vehicle access throughout the site. The team also coordinated complex dewatering operations, asbestos-contaminated soil removal, structural concrete construction, and extensive landscaping works across multiple project stages.
Through effective planning, collaborative stakeholder management, and innovative construction methodologies, ACE delivered the works safely and efficiently despite challenging ground conditions, market pressures, resource constraints, and post-COVID industry impacts.
